Pedometer Challenge 1 – 31 May, 2018!
Do you want to improve your fitness level, build team spirit, win a prize, or simply get active and have fun during the month of May? If you answered yes, this challenge is for you!
The PSP Bagotville Health Promotion Pedometer Challenge runs from May 1-31. This local challenge aims to create a culture of health and wellness in the Defense community by encouraging its members to walk 10,000 steps a day, every day in May to increase overall health. Active living and consistency are the keys to improving wellness. Ten thousand steps per day is the number recommended by Health Canada, as it is associated with significant improvements in overall health when achieved consistently.
To make this challenge even more exciting, there are prizes to be won and team challenges are encouraged (ex: desk cleaning for a month, pot luck lunch, coffee runs for a week, etc.)!
NOTE: Participants are encouraged to use their own pedometers during the challenge. Bagotville Health Promotion will have a limited supply of pedometers to lend out for those who do not own one. Read the pedometer information sheet to maximize its effectiveness.
Follow these steps to participate:
*We strongly recommend the participants use their own pedometer as we have a limited amount.
