Climate

The province of Quebec’s climate varies considerably according to seasons and the place where one is located. Winters in the Saguenay region are often cold, windy and snowy, whereas summers are warm and pleasant.
 
Average temperatures during the three coldest months (December to February) vary between -19.5° C and -8° C. During the summer months, temperatures range between 11° C and 23° C. During this period, the city is sometimes subjected to a heat wave over many consecutive days during which the mercury climbs to 30° C or more.
