Support in Case of Absence

Support in Case of Absence

External Resources Children’s Deployment Support Program (CDSP)

The "Children’s Deployment Support Program" was designed by the Petawawa MFRC within the "Military Family Services Program Project Funds" in collaboration with the "Phoenix Centre for Families and Children", the "Child and Youth Health Network for Eastern Ontario" and the "Psychology Foundation of Canada".

The CDSP is a peer-support program whose goal is to inform children between the ages of 4 and 12 in an age-appropriate way about the feelings and behaviour that are normal to experience during the prolonged absence of a parent.
