Pre-Deployment & Reunion Packages
When the BFRC receives a completed Family Contact Form, an information package will be sent to the person/persons indicated on the form.  The package includes information on preparing for deployment/reunion, Family Information Line, Canadian Forces Member Assistance Program, tips for mailing care packages and more.

Warm-line Calls
The main purpose of the Warm-line call is to ensure that families of CAF personnel and PSP employees remain connected to Base and community resources and services during separations due to operational demands.  The Warm-line call is offered by staff and trained volunteers.  It is not a counselling service.  The purpose is to offer a friendly voice, a listening ear and to share information regarding upcoming special events.  All contacts are strictly confidential.

Pre-Deployment & Reunion Information Sessions
These sessions are available for family members of deployed CAF personnel and PSP employees.  Information sessions will explore the cycle of deployment and reunion.  Topics may include common reactions and ways of coping while your loved one is away, preparing for homecoming and what to expect after a long deployment.  Children’s Deployment Sessions are also available.  Check with the Family Separation and Reunion office for upcoming session times.

Support Group
Support Groups will also be offered when the need is identified by the community.  Support Groups for adults and for children will be considered.

Social Activities
The Service will conduct various activities on an annual basis. Invitations are extended to families when the CAF member is away provided a Deployment Contact Form has been submitted to the Borden Family Resource Centre.  These activities allow children and adults experiencing family separation due to deployment to meet, socialize and/or provide parents some personal care time.  Upcoming activities will be relayed in the Warm Line Calls or check with the Family Separation and Reunion office. 
Adopt-a-Holiday Care Packages
Adopt-a-Holiday Care Packages are provided four times throughout the year.  Canadian Forces members (Regular Force and Reservist) and PSP staff deployed/absent from their families on International missions overseas or at CFS Alert will be provided with a “Morale Mail” Package created by staff and volunteers from the Family Separation and Reunion Service.
