Week 8: Bright Futures

Over the past 7 weeks, we have inundated you with information that can help your mental health, physical well being, finances, and relationships just to name a few. This week we want to help you bring all of that forward by setting goals that are meaningful to you. Goal setting motivates you to achieve what you want. Once you know how to set goals, your ability to attach meaning to your deepest desires results in a level of motivation that is we call passion. Setting goals gives your life more meaning, purpose and passion; surely that makes it worth doing.

Taking Charge of your Future
Thurday, August 27, 7-8:30 p.m.

In this fun and informative free online workshop you will explore what exactly you want to work towards--not some cheesy "should be doing" goal, but something meaningful to you, your life, and your future. Learn how to break your goals down to achievable wins, how to create new habits stacked onto old ones, how to identify possible obstacles, and how to have a plan for them ahead of time.

Step Forward Book Club with Daring Greatly by Brené Brown
Tuesday, September 8, 2020, 7:00 – 8:00 p.m.

Brené Brown is an expert when it comes to living authentically and daring to create a bright future for yourself. This one-hour book discussion will be held virtually, via Zoom. The Calgary MFRC is happy to reimburse eligible participants for their book purchase; eBook, paperback, or audio-book. To be eligible for reimbursement, you must attend the book club meeting, provide your receipt and meet the following criteria: CAF members, DND & MFRC employees, member’s spouse/partner, member’s adult child or parents, Veterans, & Memorial Cross families.
