Share: Natasha's Wood Natasha’s Wood Foundation states its mission is to “create a ‘Legacy for Life’”. The Natasha’s Wood Foundation website explains their focus on generating awareness of and an unconditional support for mental wellness in children of First Responder, Veteran, or serving CAF families; especially for those effected by PTSD, OSI, TBI and suicide. The foundation aims to do this through arts and crafts, education, sports and story-telling. 4 Wing Cold Lake has been fortunate enough to earn the Natasha’s Wood grant for the second year in a row! We are excited to wander through Natasha’s Wood, while working on building our own Fairy/Gnome garden, enjoying a variety of physical activity and learning new skills, like cooking. This free program will run Tuesday (February 5 – March 12) evenings from 6:30 – 8:30 PM at the Mackenzie Arts and Community Centre, open to dependants (9 – 12 years of age) of CAF members lost in duty or currently deployed. Registration for this fun, 6 week, youth program is open and available, in person, at the Col J.J. Parr Sports Centre Welcome Desk. Priority registration will be given to children of deployed or deceased military members. Be sure to check out the Natasha’s Wood Foundation website for more information on this great organization. Questions can be directed to Nikki Sinclair at local 7454.
