National Child Day is a day where we commemorate the UN’s adoption of the "United Nations Declaration of the Rights of the Child" document and the "United Nations Convention of the Rights of the Child" document. More details can be found on the national site (here).
National Child Day – “Nurturing their roots”

To celebrate this day kids around Canada and Europe will work on similar art projects which will then be shipped to the Canadian War Museum and put on display, on 27 November! On November 16 PSP will be hosting a FREE event for children, 15 years of age and younger, to come out, participate in play, activities, complete a piece of art to send for display and enjoy a FREE lunch with one another!
This event is FREE with priority registration to members of the Defence Team; a parent/guardian must accompany their child(ren). Pre-registration is required and can be done in person at the Col J.J. Parr Sports Centre Welcome Desk. Registration will close at 2100hrs on 14 November 2019.
Join us at the Mackenzie Arts & Community Centre (the MACC) to Celebrate National Child Day!
Events of the day:
National Child Day Craft - on going starting from 0900-1300 hrs
Kids Yoga & Kickboxing - register for 1 of 2, 45 minute sessions (ages 8-15 yrs.)
Play Time in our NEW play structure for 7 and under (0900-1130 hrs)
FREE lunch provided
