Prevention, Support & Intervention Services

Sometimes the challenges we experience can seem too big to deal with alone.  Although there are times when seeking the support of family and friends is often enough, there are times when we need more.

Short term counselling is a process where you and a counsellor discuss the issues and challenges you may be facing, examine these issues and challenges from different perspectives and explore ways to cope with your situation and/or create change, all within a safe and supportive environment.

Short term services provided through the Comox MFRC are free and confidential for military family members who may be looking for individual, relationship and/or family support.

Families may also choose to contact:

  • Base Social Work Office: 250-339-8148
  • Base Chaplains: 250-339-8211
    • Main Office: local 8389
    • Protestant: local 8274
    • Roman Catholic: local 8273
