Chaplain Services
CAF Chaplains provide confidential support through spiritual/religious care, crisis intervention, counselling and referrals as needed.
Support is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Contact Wing Ops at 1-250-339-8231 and ask for the Duty Chaplain to return your call.

Canadian Forces Member Assistance Program (CFMAP)
Canadian Armed Forces members and their spouse, partner and dependent children can access free, confidential, bilingual, telephone crisis counselling or referral to short term counselling.

Family Information Line (FIL)
Canadian Armed Forces members, Veterans and their families (immediate and extended) can access the Family Information Line (FIL).  It is a free, confidential, bilingual service offering information, support, referrals, reassurance and crisis management to the military community.

CAFKIDS crisis texting service for kids of CAF families
Kids Help Phone staff and volunteer crisis responders have been trained to have an enhanced understanding of the military family lifestyle. Now military kids, who need help, can get help by texting CAFKIDS to 686868.

Canadian Armed Forces members, Veterans and their immediate family can access free, bilingual, skills-based educational programs for children, youth, adults and their caregivers via telephone and video coaching.
Strongest Families offer programs which focus on disruptive behaviours, anxiety concerns, and nighttime bedwetting.

Comox Valley Child & Youth Mental Health
Virtual intake services for children and youth (under 19 years of age) provide a confidential assessment with a trained mental health professional who will work with the child/youth and their parent/caregiver to access appropriate mental health resources. If you have questions or want to book an intake appointment, Call 1-250-334-5820 and press 1 for the Courtenay office.
Monday to Friday 9:00am - 12:00pm and 1:00pm - 4:00pm.

Comox Valley Adult Mental Health and Substance Use
Virtual intake services provide a single point of assessment and access for individuals seeking Adult Mental Health (19 +) and Substance Use. Appointments will be conducted by phone with a mental health professional and may include referrals for mental health counselling, substance use counselling, support from a psychiatrist and more.
Call 1-250-331-8524 from 9:00am -12:00pm and 1:00pm to 3:00pm Monday to Friday with questions or to book an intake appointment.
