Welcome to Health Promotion in Edmonton
Strengthening the Forces (StF) is a Health Promotion program designed to assist Canadian Armed Forces members, Regular and Primary Reserve, DND and NPF employees and Veterans and their families to take control of their health and well-being. Maintaining a high level of health improves one's ability to perform effectively and safely on CAF operations, and to enjoy a high quality of life.
Health promotion is the process of enabling people to increase control over and to improve their health. Health is seen as a resource for everyday life, not the objective of living.
Health Promotion consists of four (4) professionals providing Morale and Welfare Programming in specific core program areas which include: Nutritional Wellness, Addictions Awareness, Active Living & Injury Prevention and Social Wellness.
