The Edmonton MFRC Second Language Service helps military family members improve or maintain their English or French second language skills.
Social events and activities are offered to ease the transition and integration of new families while enjoying the experience of a new community.

Education and Employment Support
Employment, education and homework information and referral is available. Exam Proctoring through a partnership with TÉLUQ University may be available.
Programs and Events
A yearly St. Jean Baptiste Day celebration is held, as well as ongoing social events and activities throughout the year including; social activities which are designed to connect Francophone military families with one another. All families are encouraged to attend our events in order to strengthen their language skills and to celebrate the French language.
Second Language Training
Second Language Training options are available to military family members online complemented by an in-person conversation group, this service is intended to help families learn or improve their second language skills, in order to integrate into their new community and to assist with chances of securing employment. Language training options are considered on a case-by-case basis to best meet the needs of the family.
Welcome and Community Orientation
Welcome packages and our referral services are in available both English and French. Francophone families can find assistance with interpreting essential information that is only available in English.
