iSTEP A program for children and youth, whose parent has an Operational Stress Injury, sharing a journey together towards resiliency

Ages: 6 to 8 years,  9 to 12 years and 13 to 17 years

The Individual Success Through Empowering Peers (iSTEP) program is designed for children and youth who live with a parent (still serving or veteran) who is affected by an Operational Stress Injury.

Children can become lost in the complexity that may come when a family member is living with an OSI. With peer support, they can be inspired to know that they are not alone.

This program will teach children and youth to develop support systems of their own as well as develop practical skills to deal with feelings and stress. Through expressive art and fun interactive activities participants will develop problem-solving skills and coping tools that encourage them to cultivate resiliency.
