Shotokan Karate Club Thinkstock Share: Martial arts at the base Karate is a striking art using punching, kicking, knee and elbow strikes, and open-handed techniques such as knife-hands. The aim of the Karate Club is to teach traditional Shotokan Karate, and to foster the development of karate through seminars, tournaments, and exposure to world-class karate and other martial arts instructors. Such benefits of this karate club include: Many different training times and two different locations; Affordable way to learn or practice your karate skills; A fun way to work on your cardio, flexibility, coordination, stress relief, and quicken your reflexes while training in a safe and supervised environment. Training is conducted at the Naden Athletic Centre, with children’s classes on Mon/Wed 1830-2000 hrs, and adult classes Fri 1900-2030. Beginners are accepted throughout the year. Training is also conducted at the Colwood Pacific Activity Centre on Tue/Thu, with children and adults training together at 1830-2000.
