What is Family Separation?

Family separation is when a Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) member, Regular Force or Reservist, is required to spend "time away from home" for a period of 30 consecutive days or longer.

This includes:
  • Temporary Duty
  • Special Tasking
  • Field Exercises
  • Restricted Postings / IR
  • Course
If you or your family will be experiencing a separation for 30 days or more due to one of the above, please drop by the Gagetown MFRC and let us know; or fill out the Deployment Contact Form and email, fax or drop it off to us.

When you register with the Gagetown MFRC Deployment Services you and your family can stay connected and informed of deployment programs and services offered at the Gagetown MFRC.
