Volunteers interested in becoming a board member will meet with the Board Development Committee, and will be asked to attend an observation meeting before being invited to be a member of the Board of Directors. All Board Members will need to be ratified at the Annual General Meeting by the military community.

The key responsibilities for all board members include:

How Do I Become a Board Member?
Community Members interested in becoming a member of the Board of Directors must complete the same requirements as all other volunteers of the Gagetown MFRC.
In addition to meeting these requirements, potential board members must complete the following:

  • Email the Board of Directors at
  • Provide a current resume
  • Participate in an interview with the Board Development Committee;
  • Attend Board orientation training sessions; and
  • Attend a regular monthly board meeting as an observer.
It is important to note, that at this time, it may take 2 to 3 months to complete this process.
