Respect in the CAF

Respect in the CAF

About the workshop:

This is an interactive workshop intended to promote respect in the CAF through awareness and understanding, to empower CAF members to take a stand against sexual misconduct and to support those who may have been a victim/survivor.  Keeping in mind this does not provide a detailed account of the laws governing sexual assault nor does it address issues which influence patterns of violence and abuse in military.  Nevertheless, this workshop is designed to foster a sustained change in attitudes and behaviours i order to build a respectuf climate and culture within the CAF.

The RITCAF workshop uses a range of taching and learning processes, including
  • Lecture based presentation of key information
  • Interactive and participatory exercises
  • Scenario discussion
  • Handouts provided during and after workshop, to reinforce learning
This program will also address cognitive, affective and behavioural domains: What people know, how they feel and how they behave. This workshop is not a mandatory power point based lecture, in fact this workshop is interactive using instructional media and a discussion based format designed to generate dialogue amongst the participants.

This workshop is for military members only at this time, however civilian DND and NPF employees are welcome to attend if there is space available.
