Individual and family well-being has a significant impact on military readiness. The emphasis of the Military Family Services Program is to strengthen the existing capacity of individuals and families through primary preventative services.

At the Greenwood Military Family Resource Centre (GMFRC), we have two full-time counsellors available to our military families. A Family Liaison Coordinator (FLC), also commonly known as FLO or Family Liaison Officer, is a social worker who works with the GMFRC and the Integrated Personnel Support Centre (IPSC) to offer services to families of ill, injured, or fallen military members. Also, we have a Prevention, Support and Intervention Coordinator (PSI) whose role is to strengthen the existing capacity of individuals and families through primary preventative services, such as Accredited Education & Prevention, Self-Help Groups, Assessment & Referrals to appropriate services in the community, and Short Term Intervention, Counselling & Crisis Support.
