Bronze Medallion

Bronze Medallion (20 hrs) teaches an understanding of the lifesaving principles
embodied in the 4 components of water-rescue education -- Judgment, Knowledge,
Skill and Fitness. Rescuers learn tows and carries, defence methods and releases in
preparation for challenging rescues of increased risk. Lifesavers develop stroke
efficiency and endurance in a 500m timed swim. Bronze Medallion is a prerequisite for
the Bronze Cross Award.

100% attendance is mandatory

 Minimum age – 13 years or Bronze Star (proof required)
 $129.52 plus HST plus the following:
 $27.00 for Canadian Lifesaving Manual plus HST
 $9.75 for Pocket Mask plus HST

Bronze Cross

Bronze Cross (20 hrs) is designed for lifesavers who want the challenge of more
advanced training including an introduction to safe supervision in aquatic facilities.
Bronze Cross is a prerequisite for all advance training programs including the National
Lifeguard and Instructor certification.

100% attendance is mandatory
Minimum age – Bronze Medallion (proof required)
 $129.52 plus HST (manual and pocket mask from Bronze Medallion required)
