Bronze Medallion

Friday            February 14th              1600 – 2100

Bronze Medallion (20 hrs) teaches an understanding of the lifesaving principles
embodied in the 4 components of water-rescue education -- Judgment, Knowledge,
Skill and Fitness. Rescuers learn tows and carries, defence methods and releases in
preparation for challenging rescues of increased risk. Lifesavers develop stroke
efficiency and endurance in a 500m timed swim. Bronze Medallion is a prerequisite for
the Bronze Cross Award.

Prerequisite:  13 years and up or successful completion of the Bronze Star

100% attendance is mandatory

•  Minimum age – 13 years or Bronze Star (proof required)
•  $105.00 plus HST (includes Canadian Lifesaving Manual)

Bronze Cross

Saturday        March 7th              0900 – 1900
Sunday          March 8th              1000 – 1900

Bronze Cross (20 hrs) is designed for lifesavers who want the challenge of more
advanced training including an introduction to safe supervision in aquatic facilities.
Bronze Cross is a prerequisite for all advance training programs including the National
Lifeguard and Instructor certification.

Prerequisite:  Successful completion of the Bronze Medallion

100% attendance is mandatory

•  $105.00 plus HST (manual and pocket mask from Bronze Medallion required)
