The goal of this course is to prepare personnel in leadership positions to deal with issues of alcohol misuse, drug use/abuse and gambling issues within their units.

Topics covered include:
  • Recognizing the warning signs of issues concerning alcohol, drug use and gambling 
  • Applying DND policies on alcohol, drugs and gambling 
  • Understanding the role of the supervisor in promoting an addiction-free working environment 
  • Understanding and changing the culture of an organization 
Who can attend:
The target audience for this course are CAF members who are in a supervisory position and at a rank level of MS/MCpl or above or Lt/SLt (N) or above. Where space is available, civilian members of the DND team who are in a supervisory position can participate.
