The Military Family Resource Centre (MFRC) is a non-profit organization incorporated under the laws and regulations of the province of Quebec. A board of directors, elected by the community, oversees its operations. Civilian spouses of full-time Regular Force, Reserve Force or Cadet Instructor Cadre members must make up 51 % of the Board.
The Board is anchored in the following values:
- Every family needs support and resources;
- such support and resources increase the family’s power to grow and change;
- such support and resources must be provided based on the needs expressed by the families involved, with due regard and respect for each individual’s unique circumstances and character;
- respect is our core value and is expressed in various ways, including through open-mindedness, consideration, trust and regard for others.
Our mandate is to offer services that promote and foster the health and well-being of military families, meet their needs and support their development as individuals, families and communities. We strive to meet the specific needs of the community by providing the services and activities listed below. All our services are offered in both languages.
