We have a Family Liaison Officer (FLO) who is a Military Family Resource Centre-National Capital Region Social Worker, located within the Integrated Personnel Support Centre (IPSC).
The FLO connects families with both MFRC-NCR and IPSC services, to ensure that the widest variety of counselling and support services are offered to families of CAF members who are coping with an illness, injury, or grieving a fallen member.
The FLO is available to help families deal with all phases of the ill or injured CAF member’s recovery, rehabilitation and reintegration, whether the member is returning to service, or transitioning through the release process. They are also available to support families through the grief of losing a loved one, and support connection to other community services, as needed.
- Confidential individual, family, couple or group counselling;
- Referrals to mental health services for adults and children;
- Access to education and prevention-based programs in the community;
- Outreach support to families in surrounding areas.
Emergency Childcare is available for the first hours and days of an emergency until your family care plan can be actioned. Please contact our intake worker if the need arises. For more information, click here: Emergency Childcare
