The “Helping Hands” NCR Military Family Holiday Hamper Project provides an opportunity for Defence Team units within the NCR to channel their goodwill to military families in need over the Holidays by sponsoring a family and donating gifts and/or other necessities the sponsored family has identified.

For units interested in sponsoring families:
Units OPI can provide their contacts details to Helping Hands team. NLT 22 Nov 19.

For families in need:
If felt appropriate, unit supervisors are invited to mention the program to the member in a confidential and supportive manner, suggesting that if they would like some help to allow their family to celebrate the Holiday season this year, they can contact either The MFRC Helping Hands Team (613-998-4884) or Padre Carl Strutt (613-716-7310).

Other families might choose to self-identify at the MFRC.
Please express interest NLT 22 Nov 19.

To ensure confidentiality, only the designated MFRC Family Wellness Team members and NCR Chaplains will be speaking with the members/families.

Further details about purchasing a family’s hamper and delivery/pick-up information will be sent from the Helping Hands Team to the Unit OPI and families once identified.

The MFRC Helping Hands Team and the NCR Chaplains would like to thank you all in advance for sharing your generous spirit with other military families this season.
