We are always looking for volunteers to join our team. From the volunteer Board of Directors to the volunteers who deliver our programs and services, each individual empowers the community by taking an active role in ensuring that Canadian Armed Forces family members have the necessary tools to lead fulfilling and productive lives. Volunteering is an excellent way to discover new areas of interest, build self-confidence, develop and improve your marketable skills, and add on-the-job experience to your resume.
Our philosophy of volunteer involvement includes appropriate orientation, opportunities for personal and professional development, and ongoing recognition. We value the collaboration of volunteers and encourage their input in the planning of our activities.
How to become a volunteer
- Contact our Employment & Volunteer Services Coordinator to get an appointment.
- Complete a registration form, provide consent to a police records check, and sign a confidentiality agreement.
- We’ll then match you with a position that you’ll be excited about and that will fulfill both your needs and those of the MFRC-NCR. A few examples: Board of Directors, special events, administrative support, and “40 Hours in 4 Years”.
- Training is provided to help you meet your volunteer requirements and may include emergency first aid, child/infant CPR, and general Internet skills.
