Second Language Training for Children and Youth

Our Military Family Resource Centre offers fun activity and program options to help your child & youth obtain their language learning goals.

In Person Programs

Youth Book Club! - Returning Soon

In the past, we read books 1 to 3 of the Harry Potter series and each youth enjoyed a Harry Potter gift for completing the readings and attending the meetings. At our Youth Book Club, we read, discuss, and do activities related to the book all in French!

Tutoring Tuesdays - Returning Soon

Need help with this French homework? Your MFRC is working with the Canadian Parents for French for French tutoring and homework help.

For ages 6 and older!

Online Training

Voilà Learning

Voilà Learning, in partnership with Military Family Services, is offering free online homework support in French, English, and Math to military families’ children. Children also have the opportunity to practice their French and English and play French games on the platform – riddles, pictograms and much more – all while winning points.

The Virtual Immersion Campus is open from Monday to Thursday from 5pm to 8pm (EST to PST). Virtual services are available to military families’ children from grade 1 to grade 12.
