Veteran Family Program

Extension of Veteran Family Program
Military Family Resource Centres (MFRCs) will be receiving funding for the extension of the Veteran Family Program beyond the current pilot sites (Esquimalt, Edmonton, Shilo, North Bay, Trenton, Valcartier and Halifax) to all MFRCs. This expansion will provide access to medically releasing CAF members and medically released CAF Veterans and their families to the Military Family Services Program to support their transition to civilian life.

Military Family Services will work with Veterans Affairs Canada and MFRCs on the funding formula, criteria and development of the MOU between Veterans Affairs Canada and Canadian Forces Morale & Welfare Services. The actual roll-out is planned for 1 April 2018.
