Family Information Line
The 24/7 bilingual Family Information Line (FIL) is managed by Military Family Services. The telephone and email service is available to military families, military members, Veterans, and community members. The FIL is about more than crisis intervention. Counsellors are mental health professionals trained to adjust their approach according to the needs of the person on the other end of the line.
 
Caregiver Resource
The Operational Stress Injury Resource for Caregivers is an online, self-directed resource designed for caregivers and families of CAF members or Veterans living with OSIs. This online educational tool is the result of an innovative partnership between Veterans Affairs Canada, Canadian Forces Morale and Welfare Services, and the Royal Ottawa Mental Health Centre (The Royal).
 
Families Overcoming Under Stress
Families Overcoming Under Stress (FOCUS) is a resiliency-building program designed for military families and children facing the challenges of multiple deployment stress injuries. FOCUS builds on three established interventions: preventative intervention, family-centred intervention and trauma-informed intervention. You can access FOCUS services directly from seven participating MFRC locations including Esquimalt, BC, Edmonton, AB, Shilo, MB, Trenton, ON, North Bay, ON, Valcartier, QC, or Halifax, NS.
 
Living Life to the Full
Living Life to the Full is a booklet-based therapy program. You can participate by registering for in-person group sessions in your community. This psycho-educational therapy teaches problem solving and other skills to overcome difficulties like inactivity, unhelpful thinking, worry and avoidance. You can access Living Life to the Full classroom facilitated services directly from seven participating MFRC locations including Esquimalt, BC, Edmonton, AB, Shilo, MB, Trenton, ON, North Bay, ON, Valcartier, QC, or Halifax, NS.
 
Bounce Back
Bounce Back is a free evidence-based, supported self-management program led by the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA BC) and designed to assist adults in experience symptoms of mild to moderate depression, low mood, or stress, with or without anxiety.
