June is Recreation Month

1) Summer Challenge

Join us on Saturday June 8th, 2019 for your chance to win up to $3,000 in prizes by participating in a fun, competitive Summer Challenge Event! We'll be putting spins on classic summer games, so get your friends together and register now to secure your spot and your chance to win!

Teams or Individuals will get a chance to compete in 4 main events to accumulate the highest score to win the Canadian Tire Outdoor Recreation grand prize valued at $1300. Teams are asked to register by June 3rd 2019 and will also have an opportunity to enter to win the $2500 Outdoor adventure Package through the National Contest.

Event Details

Date:  Saturday June 8th 2019
Time:  0900 - approx 1430 hrs (The end time may vary depending on level of participation)
Location:  22 Wing Fitness & Wellness Centre (Meet in the Theatre at 0900 hrs)
Food:  Snacks and water will be provided throughout the day with a late lunch at the end of the event (approx.1430 hrs) 

All teams/individuals MUST register NLT June 3rd!  Team captains will be sent an itinerary by June 4th indicating instructions, expectations and an itinerary for the event.
1) In person:  Forms are available and can be submitted at the front desk of the 22 Wing Fitness & Wellness Centre located at 29 Duxford Rd.
2) Download the Registration form below and submit to Lindsay Seguin via email at lindsay.seguin@forces.gc.ca or drop it off at the 22 Wing Fitness & Wellness Centre.

1) Participants must be affiliated with the 22 Wing Community (Military and their dependents, veterans and their dependents and DND staff and their dependents (PSP staff are not eligible to win the grand prize).

4 Main Events
1)  Tarzan Rope Challenge – Teams/individuals will have 2 attempts for the best Tarzan rope jump. The jumps will be judged based on 4 criteria; biggest splash, creativity, control & safety and overall delivery.
2) Target Practice - Teams/individuals will be attempt to get the highest score using 3 different targets; nerf gun, garbage pong and ladder toss.
3) Trivia - Teams/individuals will be designated a whiteboard for their opportunity to rack up the points with trivia.
4) The Obstacle Course – Test your agility, skills, endurance and ability to work under pressure in this timed obstacle course with challenges scattered throughout the course.

General Rules
1) Teams can be made up of 1-4 individuals. Those wishing to compete independently are more than welcome!
2) Every team member must participate in at least one (1) challenge.
3) Individuals under the age of 12 years are permitted to register but must be accompanied by a parent or guardian throughout the day.
4) Teams/Individuals will participate in 4 main events which will have points allocated based on the performance of each team.  The team/individual with the most accumulated points will be designated the winner of the event and will win the Canadian Tire outdoor recreation prize valued at $1300.
5) In the event of a tie we will conduct a flash round of trivia to determine the winner (all team members are able to participate.
6) All Teams will report to the Wing Theatre on Saturday June 8th at 0900 hrs.
7) All Team Captains/Main contacts will be sent an itinerary of events on June 4th.

Eligible participants can register up to 3 times for a chance to the win the Outdoor Adventure Package valued at $2500!

3) By registering and participating in our local Summer Challenge event on June 8th!
