The PEI Military Family Resource Centre (PEI MFRC) is hosting a symposium on gender based violence, as part of our recent Let’s Start Talking campaign.
Gender Based Violence Symposium
The symposium will include representatives from Catholic Family Services, Family Service PEI, and other community organizations. Information and resources on gender based violence and family relationships will be presented.
The symposium resulted from the PEI MFRC’s Let’s Start Talking campaign, which asked military members, Veterans, and their immediate families their thoughts on topics such as conflict resolution, healthy relationships, intimate partner relationships, abusive relationships, gender stereotypes, healthy anger, and financial challenges.
The gender based violence symposium is an all-ages event, with a free BBQ and welcome gifts. There is no cost to attend this symposium, but the PEI MFRC requests pre-registration.
Those interested in attending can register by phone (902.892.8999), online (peimfrc.ca/shop), or in person at either their Charlottetown office at HMCS Queen Charlotte (open Monday through Friday) or their Summerside office at Credit Union Place (open Tuesdays and Wednesdays).
