The Instructions below pertain exclusively to Morale Mail Services.

HOW TO USE THE MORALE MAIL SERVICE

The Canadian Forces Morale Mail service provides families and friends within Canada a cost-free alternative to using Canada Post to send care packages to those serving at a CAF deployed operation. This is a one-way service to theatre only.

Take a look at this step-by-step video for complete instructions when mailing your next care package:

PROCESS TO DROP OFF A PACKAGE

Family members dropping off parcels must:
  1. leave their parcel on the available trolley outside the main entrance. NS reception staff will monitor and bring packages indoors regularly;
  2. call NS reception at 613-687-1641 ext 0 with any questions or concerns.
Mail will be picked up once a week.

PARCEL PACKAGING

All packages must be securely packaged to avoid damage and leaking. Place breakable items or liquid substances within a strong outer container to avoid damaging other items. Canadian Forces Morale Mail is not insurable or traceable.

In order to avoid confusion (ie when there are other labels, barcodes etc. on the box), we strongly suggest wrapping the entire package in plain, brown paper.  If other paper is used, the address itself must be written on white paper and securely taped to the parcel so that it is easy to read.

Customs Forms are still required when sending parcels through Morale Mail.  You may get these at the PMFRC Northside office, CANEX or Base Mailroom. (NB: The QR code is only required when sending through Canada Post- not when sending through Morale Mail.)

Parcel Dimensions, Size & Weight

Items that do not meet size and weight restrictions will not be accepted.
- Maximum weight of 20 kilograms
- Maximum length of 1 metre; AND
- The maximum length + girth* is 2 metres.

The definition of girth is “width + height + width + height”
