Military Transition Workshop
June 23 & September 22 / 9 AM - NOON - Please register up to one day in advance
This workshop is designed to equip you with the information and tools you will need to manage your transition from a military to a civilian career. You will learn how to write a resume that effectively conveys your military experience and value, effective job search skills and interviewing techniques.

LinkedIn Workshop
This LinkedIn workshop will teach you to create a professional profile that puts your best foot forward and shows off your abilities and accomplishments.
Even if you aren't looking for a new opportunity, you never know when there may be one looking for you!

Cover Letter Clinc

Writing the perfect cover letter can be difficult.  Drop-in for any of these sessions and get advice about what employers are looking for in a cover letter.

Drop-in and leave with a resume. Our door is open if you need help getting started. 

Second Career Information Session
June 8 / 1 - 2 PM
Have you been laid off? Are you medically unable to do your job?  Are you having difficulties re-entering the labour market after some time away? You may be eligible for up to two years of post-secondary level training. Second Career provides financial support to help laid off Ontarians participate in training. Join us to find out if this program is the right for you. No registration required.

Ace the Interview

Gain confidence and feel comfortable in interview settings.  This workshop will teach you how to answer difficult questions and showcase your abilities in a way that will get an employer's attention. Topics include: interview etiquette, before & after the interview, and much more.

Customer Service Excellence

This workshop introduces customer service representatives to the fundamentals of customer service. Learn specific methods of communicating and dealing with customers effectively.

 Office Safety Awareness Training
By taking a pro-active approach in daily activities, young workers can help reduce the risk of accidents in their workplace. Young workers who are prepared and understand the potential hazards in an office setting are ready to react when accidents occur.  Complete independently at your own pace, online.
 Environmental Safety Awareness 
For those young workers who will be/are interested in performing manual labour or outdoor work. The program highlights rules of conduct, personal protective equipment, personal hygiene, and safe work practices. Complete independently at your own pace, online.

WHIMIS Training
August 31 / Register online / Complete on your own time
WHMIS was designed to ensure the safety of employers and employees while at the workplace.  Finish this course and feel informed of the dangers and hazards associated with chemicals and substances that you may come into contact with while on the job.
