Mental Health Services

The PMFRC offers a wide range of mental health services to military families in our community.  This includes:
  • Children and youth counselling
  • Assessments and referrals
  • Individual, couple and family therapy
  • Group services
  • Couples counselling
Short-Term Intervention and Crisis Support
We are able to provide confidential short-term crisis support to guide military families through difficult situations. Support is available for a variety of situations. Family needs are assessed and referrals made within the PMFRC or appropriately directed within the community of social services of Renfrew County.

The PMFRC also offers support to the families of ill, injured, or deceased soldiers. Services offered include:
  • Referrals to mental health services for adults and children;
  • Access to education/prevention-based programs in the community;
  • Short-term individual or group support for families of ill/injured and deceased Canadian Forces members; and
  • Outreach support for families within the Petawawa Integrated Personnel Support Centre (IPSC) catchment area.

Confidentiality and discretion are assured by the qualified social workers and therapists.
