How long have you worked for the PMFRC?
I have volunteered with the PMFRC since 2013, and have worked here for a year.

Tell me about your background (experience, education, etc.)
I have spent the majority of my working career in dental offices, primarily in administration.  I have been a child care provider and a school kindergarten lunch monitor.  I have a B. A. and a Dental Assisting Diploma.

What can people expect to see when they first meet you?
A smile

What is your favorite part about working for the PMFRC?
I love being around the activity and the excitement of the South Side Community Centre. I meet so many new people and get wonderful smiles and waves from all the little people.

What is your greatest accomplishment or proudest moment working for the PMFRC?
I’m very proud of my rapport with other employees, volunteers and clients that I interact with.

Where you are from and what are brought you to Petawawa? How long have you lived here?
I grew up in Ottawa, but I am very familiar with the Petawawa area as I spent summers at a cottage on Black Bay. Four years ago, we purchased that same cottage which had since been converted into a home.

What advice do you have for families transitioning to Petawawa?
Get involved.  There are so many opportunities in Petawawa for people of all ages and interests.  Once you take the first step, things start to fall in place and you begin to meet so many people.

What is your favorite thing about living in the area? What is your favorite thing to do in the winter? The summer?
I love the natural surroundings.  I like walks in Algonquin Park in the summer, and in the winter I read in front of the fireplace.

Leave us with a few words of wisdom -- what is your favorite quote?
