Mt. Pearl

Mount Pearl is a city surrounded by St. John's, and Paradise, NL. The city dates back to 1829 when Commander Jame Pearl and his wife, arrived in Newfoundland with a gifted crown land for his service in the Royal Navy. After Commander Pearl left Newfoundland he later named the most elevated section of his estate, Mt. Pearl. In 1955 it became incorporated and has since become one of the largest most densely populated cities in the province. Often described as a city within a park, Mt. Pearl has many trails and outdoor sporting amenities and it is approximately 15-25min drive to the Quidi Vidi area.
