Training can be completed independently from anywhere with internet connection, or, students may access a weekly Study Group session reserved solely for this course material.
This free, online, non-credit course (approx. 50 hours) reviews aspects of early childhood development and the role of the caregiver. BATUS dependents are eligible to complete this course, without the requirement for a student visa.
The orientation course consists of 18 modules (delivered over 20 weeks) and covers a range of topics such as observations, providing for play and guiding behaviour.
Upon successful completion, learners will receive a government issued ‘Child Development Assistant’ certificate.
To qualify for this training, individuals must committ to working 30 volunteer hours in the MFRC Kiddie Kare Day Care between June-September 2019.
