Oklahoma is located in the MidWest region of the United States of America and has a population of 3.9 million.  It became the 46th state in 1907 after a land run, earning the state its nickname, the Sooner State.  It is known as a land of diversity due to its breathtaking scenery, 10 distinct ecological regions, and its diverse terrain and ecosystems that range from arid plains to subtropical forests and mountains.
