MFSUS Virtual Social Worker Dedicated, bilingual, confidential, and free.

Sometimes, the hardships we face in our lives just make us want to stay in bed ALL day. This can be because of:
  • Recent stressful experiences
  • Transitional issues
  • Relationship issues
  • Family issues
  • Financial Issues
  • Bullying/harassment
  • Workplace stress
  • Health issues
  • And more...
Talking about your stressors with friends and family can help. But this might not be enough. Talking to a counsellor may be the best option for you. MFSUS is now able to help you with that.We have a new mental health service available for CAF military families posted to the U.S.: A bilingual social worker offering supportive counselling to military families over the phone or virtually.

My name is Mélissa Régnier and I am very happy to introduce myself as your new virtual social worker. Currently posted to Yellowknife in the Northwest Territories since 2015, a big part of my life revolves around the military community, whether it is in my personal life, as a military spouse and military child, or in my professional career in different MFRCs. I am a Registered Social Worker in the Northwest Territories with experience in counselling and case management. Throughout my career, I have worked in different social work positions in MFRCs and in the Health and Social Services Network. I have worked with families with children of all ages ranging from toddlers to teenagers as well as with adults and couples. As a mother of two wonderful children aged 2 and 4 year old, I am a very family-oriented person. Although being a military family involves facing many challenges, I feel very fortunate to be able to experience some of these as they have provided some of the best adventures of my life. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you feel the need to talk to someone. It will be a pleasure for me to support you in dealing with the challenges you face as a military family member, as a spouse, as a parent or as an individual. I am also here for your children. I am looking forward to meeting you virtually.

If you feel that you need to speak with someone immediately,
please call the Family Information Line at 1-800-866-4546.
We are all here to help as your comprehensive support team.
