BookFlix (from Scholastic): 

Animated read-along storybooks and videos for early learners. Stories come to life with animated pictures and words to help young children learn to read. Choose from books about animals and nature, adventure, or ABCs and 123s. Continue learning after the story with related quizzes and puzzles. (US resource. No specific Canadian content. Early learner books, pre-K-Grade 3)

Free online tutoring for students and support for adult learners. Students studying the Alberta curriculum in Grades 2 to 12 can access online help from 2:00 pm to 11:00 pm daily. Chat live with a tutor and create your own study tools with flashcards and games. Support for adult learners is also available, whether you are going back to school, switching jobs, or brushing up on your skills.  (Alberta curriculum specific. Grades 2-12 )

The Canadian Encyclopedia
Search for a specific topic, or browse more than 30,000 multimedia items, including images, maps, games, audio, and video. You can dive deeper into a topic with interactive features, including content exhibits, timelines, classroom resources, quizzes, and themed study guides. (Mainly grades 4+ for comprehension level.)

eReading Room for Kids
Ebooks and Audiobooks just for kids. Borrow children’s books for free with your Library card, to read or listen to on your computer. Or, take the book on the go by downloading to your mobile device with the Libby app. (This is the Calgary Public Library’s online catalog, curated for kids aged 0-12)

Gale Virtual Reference Library eBooks Online
Find full-text eBooks for learners of all ages on topics including coding, business, and travel, as well as DK Eyewitness books about animals, history, geography, weather, technology, and more.  Business Plans Handbooks for entrepreneurs are here. (US-based resource. Not specific to Alberta outcomes, but a great resource if you have a kid who loves non-fiction, especially DK Eyewitness books. They’re all available online, even if the eBook is checked out from the library. Ages K-Adult) 

Muzzy Online 
Online language learning for kids. (Ages K-Grade 6. Flash required.) 

Find course lessons, reviews, and practice tests for students in grades 3 to 12. From science and math to social studies and English, Solaro follows the Alberta curriculum and provides online access to the same information found in The Key study guides. 

Study Buddy 
Find school Digital Resources for grades 1-12 Search Study Buddy to find fiction and non-fiction eBooks, articles, audiobooks, and worksheets for science, nature, math, art, or Alberta topics. (Calgary Public Library created. Cross-references with Alberta curriculum. Designed for grades 1 – 12; ages six and up)

Practice your reading with fun stories for kids. Listen and read-along to animated story books for young children, their parents, and teachers. Play games and watch videos from National Geographic. Includes a selection of French picture books. (Ages K- Grade 6) 

Teen Book Cloud 
An online collection of eBooks, enhanced novels, graphic novels, videos, and audiobooks, which offers students and adults of all reading levels access to an amazing range of content. (Gr 7 – Adult. It’s the older kid and adult version of TumbleBooks )
