Recreational Activities for Everyone

Here is a list of Recreation facilities/ clubs and activities that are available for you and your family to enjoy. Some facilities are part of the PSP Community Recreation Association (CRA). Please contact the Yellowknife PSP office for information on becoming a CRA member or you can view our winter or summer brochure.

Bristol Pit Snowboard Park

The snowboard park at Bristol Pit includes a small terrain park and lift. It is jointly maintained by the City of Yellowknife and the NWT Boadsprt Association.

Collective Soul (PSP CRA)
Yoga classes offered at Collective Soul are available at a disount for members of Community Recreation Association (CRA). Click here for information on Taiga Yoga. 

Fieldhouse (PSP CRA)

CRA members and military members can access the track using their City Pass. In order to receive your City pass, you will need to show the pool staff your PSP card.  
*Please note: When using the track, only swipe your city pass once. If you leave the track to use the restroom or get a drink of water, please do not swipe again as we will be charged more than once.*   Click here to access more information.

Ruth Inch Memorial Swimming Pool (PSP Rec Association)

Military personnel and Members of the PSP Recreation Association can access the swims at no cost. This does not include lessons or aqua fit. 

Taiga Yoga Center​ (PSP CRA)
Yoga classes offered at Taiga are available at a disount for members of Community Recreation Association (CRA) and is also offered to military members during PT classes

Yellowknife Arena
The Yellowknife Community Arena is open from October to the Easter weekend each year. It is located at 6004 Franklin Avenue (between the pool and the curling club).
1 ice surface (85 by 185 feet)
5 change rooms
In addition to the regular ice rentals in the winter, it is often used for special events such as concerts, bingos, dry grad and MMA fights. Click here to access the website.

Yellowknife Climbing Club
​The YKCC is a registered not-for profit organization operating in Yellowknife, NT. Our mission is to develop the sport of climbing in Yellowknife and area for people of all ages and experience levels. We focus on access and development of outdoor climbing areas; education and instruction of skills, safety, and environmental respect; and, social support and connections for YK climbers. To achieve this mission, we constructed an indoor bouldering gym where climbers can develop the skills and strengths required for technical competency and athletic excellence.
