Medically releasing? Fill out our survey and tell us what your needs are

We’re looking for spouses/partners and parents of CAF Regular or Reserve Force members who have medically-released in the past five years.

Military Family Services (MFS), a division of Canadian Forces Morale and Welfare Services (CFMWS) is conducting a research study called “Understanding the Needs of Canadian Armed Forces’ Families During and After Medical Releases.” We are looking for input from spouses/partners or parents of CAF Regular and Reserve Force members who are medically releasing or have medically released within the past five years.

The objective of this research is to understand the needs of CAF members and their families during the process of medically releasing, in particular with respect to unique stressors, transition needs, resilience and need/access/use of support resources and information. An online survey is now available for those interested in participating. The survey should take approximately 45 minutes to complete.

Focus groups will also be coordinated in a number of communities in 2020. More details on these will follow at a later date. The results from the online survey and focus groups will inform the content for programming of the MFS “Veteran Family Program.”
