Youth Services provides a variety of structured and unstructured activities aimed to specific age groups and geared towards personal growth, leadership development and community involvement and promote opportunities for peer and social interaction.

Participation is based on a first come, first served basis with priority given to youth whose parents/legal guardians are CAF Members or DND Civilian/BFRC/CFHA/PSP Employees, and on a secondary basis to all other individuals.

Effective September 1, 2015 the Borden Family Resource Centre's - Children and Youth Program is pleased to offer no fees for drop-in programming for CAF members and their families, DND Civilian Employees and their immediate families and those who provide direct support to the CAF. Base/DND Identification required upon registration.

All other guests: $2.00

Youth Services offers Drop in Activities, Community Involvement, Volunteer Training & Opportunities, Shuttle Service, Resource Library, Personal Enrichment Courses, Outreach and a Youth Advisory Committee.  The Youth Centre has a Pool Table, Dances, Outings, Canteen, Computers, TV, Internet, Karaoke, Sports Equipment, a Basketball Court, a Sound System and much more!

The Youth Centre is located at 14 Typhoon Lane.

REGULAR HOURS OF OPERATION are as follows: 

Friday

6pm - 9pm

Grade 5 – Grade 12
(minimum age 10 years/
maximum age 18 years)

Saturday

1pm- 4pm

 Grade 1 - Grade 4
(minimum age 6 years)


Shuttle Service
The Borden Youth Centre is proud to be able to offer a van shuttle service to and from all regularly scheduled programming!  For pick up, youth must call 705-424-1200 ext. 2569 approximately one hour prior to programming and leave their name, number and location that they wish to be picked up at on the voice mail.  For drop off, youth must sign up on the Clip Board at the Youth Centre.  Parents or guardians of all Youth Centre Shuttle Service users must sign a Van Liability Form.

The Youth Advisory Committee 
The Youth Advisory Committee consists of twelve (12) youth who are ten to eighteen years of age.  The Youth Advisory Committee represents all ages, gender and cultural groups of the Borden community.
