SeparatioN and reunion

Coming back home.

Between November and January, many families will see one of their loved ones return from mission. They will be moved, happy that he or she is back at last! On the other hand, it is perfectly normal for the return to generate both excitement and apprehension. After the coming back, we must also expect a period of adjustment for both the member and the family. Everyone has been dancing alone for the past few months, and synchronizing their footsteps again will take time, patience, and effort. Families are often surprised by the energy they must invest in the months following the return. The MFRC has several tools that can help you prepare. Do not hesitate to contact us for advice, children's books or informative texts on the return!

The Separation and Reunion Coordinator is available to accompany you through the challenges of absence and changes in the military lifestyle. The services are free and confidential.

Rachelle Guitard, S.W., Separation and Reunion Coordinator, at 450 462-8777 ext. 6858 (Saint-Hubert), or 450 358-7099 ext. 2520 (Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu), or at rachelle.guitard@forces.gc.ca
